NRT Technology Corp. to provide QuickJack 2 kiosks to The Venetian Macao Resort-Hotel
Toronto, ON - August 13, 2007 – The Venetian Macao Resort-Hotel, a Las Vegas Sands Corp. property, has signed an agreement to use NRT's innovative QuickJack 2 kiosks.
The QuickJack 2 kiosk offers casino patrons a powerful and cost-effective interface. It allows them to redeem slot tickets, vouchers and coupons, perform ATM, debit and credit card cash advance transactions, with ATM functionality provided by Global Cash Access, redeem players' club points for complimentary services and cash, and break bills in HKD. Other functions, such as show ticket purchases, restaurant reservations, or general information can be made available, based on gaming properties' needs.
"This is an exciting time for NRT," admitted Rosa Laricchia, vice president of sales at NRT Technology Corp. "Our goal is to make our presence known in Macau. This agreement with Las Vegas Sands Corp. is a significant accomplishment for us. We are pleased that NRT has been selected to provide our new QuickJack 2, a multi-function patron kiosk that delivers user-friendly, customer service features such as bill breaking and ticket-in, ticket-out cash redemption, to The Venetian Macao Resort-Hotel."
All QuickJack 2 service and support will be provided by NRT Macau. Its full-time office will ensure any issues that arise will be rectified in a timely manner.
The QuickJack 2 kiosk is the newest member of NRT's QuickJack line. The following new, innovative applications have been tailored for the QuickJack 2 and will be introduced to The Venetian Macau in phases:
- Way finding – Directory function to assist patrons with locating certain areas within the property.
- Event ticketing system – Ability to purchase tickets for show and events.
- Will call ticket pickup – Ability for patrons to pick up previously purchased tickets at the event prior to showtime.
- Sales & convention catering system – Sales, catering, and banquet hospitality network interface.
- Cash-handling system (CHS) – New Web-based application that uses the Microsoft SQL database structure to monitor unit availability information and report on system alerts. Web-based software architecture is a first for NRT.
The Venetian Macao will be the first casino resort hotel to open on the Cotai strip and will be one of the largest buildings in Asia. When completed, it is expected to occupy 10.5 million square feet and have approximately 3,000 rooms, 7,000 slot machines, 850 gaming tables, and one million square feet of retail space. The Venetian Macao is expected to have its grand opening held on August 28, 2007.
NRT Technology Corp. designs, integrates, and sells highly specialized transaction-servicing and monitoring systems that provide casinos with networked patron and attendant money dispensing, accounting, and security for their customer service needs.
