Kiosks find expanded customer service role on casino floor

At NRT Technology Corp., which manufactures the kiosks Harrah's uses for its Fast Cash redemption, the QuickJack Plus system (a venture created through an alliance of Global Cash Access and NRT) can be configured to offer multifunction capability.
Through the alliance with NRT, QuickJack Plus offers casino patrons a user-friendly, intuitive interface that allows them to redeem slot tickets, vouchers and coupons, perform ATM, debit and credit card cash advance transactions, redeem players' club points for complimentary services and cash, and break bills to exchange currency. Other functions, such as show ticket purchases, restaurant reservations, or general information can be made available based on gaming properties' needs, according to GCA.
The product has been turning heads.
"We continued our momentum in the first quarter of 2005," Kirk Sanford, GCA president and chief executive officer, said in a May 5 announcement of quarterly results. "In addition to delivering solid financial results, we signed several important contracts and saw a high level of interest in the QuickJack Plus redemption kiosk."
One of the company's most recent agreements was a multiyear deal with Wynn Las Vegas to use Global Cash Access' cash access products and services.
