Global Cash Access spotlighted the recently patented TODD, previously known as QuickPlay ATM (the new name is an acronym for ticket-out debit device). TODD enables newer model slots to receive funds via a highly secure platform. Also debuted at G2E was Edith, a patent-pending, side end-cap for lower-denomination slot machines. Also highlighted was the upgraded "QuikCash" Advanced Function Kiosk, offering first-to-market services such as establishing check cashing limits, purchasing slot tickets and events, and redeeming comps. Previewed was a Central Credit Check Guarantee check-checking product that utilizes Central Credit, which GCA described as the world's largest gaming patron credit and check cashing database. GCA proudly reminded booth visitors that its "QuickJack Plus" multi-function patron kiosk (blending ATM and cash advance functions) is a Top 20 Most Innovative Product award winner for 2004. "Everybody's talking about the move to cashless gaming and that's a clear trend here in Las Vegas, but check cashing is still occurring quite frequently in more rural sites and in Native American casinos," said GCA's Elaine Ellefsen. "You have to serve both cash and non-cash segments to be cutting-edge, and we are!"
