Firms find ways to get cash to players fast and efficiently

Getting cash in the hands of patrons -- fast -- is key to a casino's success. The quicker and easier customers can access money, the more time they spend on the gaming floor, leading to higher revenues.
While casino operators are accomplishing this by giving patrons as many cash options as possible on the floor, they are also turning to more efficient and technologically advanced tools in the cashier cage.
Many casinos, for example, have spent the past few years installing the latest ATM and kiosk technology. These newer ATMs allow patrons to withdraw cash from their bank accounts, conduct credit card advances and POS debit transaction. Some even allow patrons to cash checks right at the machine.

When it comes to ticket redemption kiosks, Certegy and Global Cash Access (GCA) have both entered the game. GCA has partnered with NRT Technology Corp. to incorporate GCA's cash access functions with NRT's QuickJack Plus multifunction patron kiosk. In addition to the cash access services GCA brings to the table, QuickJack Plus offers players a user-friendly, intuitive interface that allows them to cash in slot tickets, vouchers and coupons, redeem players' club points for complimentary services and cash, and break bills to exchange currency.
Hard Rock hotel-casino in Las Vegas announced with GCA in August that it signed a multiyear contract to use GCA products, including the company's Casino Cash Plus 3-in-1 ATM, QuikCash cash advance kiosks, and 3-in-1-enabled QuickJack Plus.
"We look forward to installing one of our newest products, QuickJack Plus, which we believe will produce measurable, incremental transactions and higher customer satisfaction for Hard Rock customers based on results some of our other customers have experienced with this product," Diran Kludjian, executive vice president of North American and international sales for GCA, said in a news announcement.
