NRT has obtained a manufacturers licence from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board
Toronto, ON - March 3, 2006 – The following is an excerpt from an article that appeared in the Post-Gazette on March 1, 2006. The article points out six slot machine manufacturers, including NRT Technology Corp., that have been granted licences to operate its machines in Pennsylvania.
Gaming Control Board licenses six slot machine manufacturers

The [Pennsylvania Gaming Control] Board granted slot machine manufacturer licenses to six nationally known companies and said it had received applications from 13 other firms for licenses to become "slots suppliers," middlemen who will buy the machines from the approved manufacturers and sell them to the casinos around the state.
Board Chairman Tad Decker said those developments are "obviously major steps in expanding gaming in the commonwealth, and they bring us closer to realizing the benefits of gaming to the citizens."
Gov. Ed Rendell hopes to use up to $1 billion in new revenue generated by casinos to lower property taxes around the state.

The six firms that received the manufacturers licenses are International Game Technology of Reno, Nev., which currently has about 70 percent of the slot machine market in the U.S.; Aristocrat Technologies Australia Ltd., along with its U.S. division, Aristocrat Technologies Inc.; NRT Technology Corp. of Ontario, Canada; Western Money Systems of Sparks, Nev.; and WMS Gaming Inc. of Waukegan, Ill.

Board officials said all six slots makers are already licensed in other states with casinos.
