MGM Grand Detroit Casino
MGM Grand Detroit's temporary casino, which is located in a former IRS building, has an art-deco theme, and is divided into three floors. The first floor is a lobby area, with entrances on three sides, decorated with Hollywood-style photos of movie stars and enormous golden statues that resemble Cadillac hood ornaments.
Escalators and elevators transport patrons to the second floor, which is the main gaming area. Scattered throughout the casino are various bars and lounges, including celebrity areas. The casino facility has 75,000 square feet of gaming space which houses 2,450 slot machines and 83 table games. Slot machines take bets ranging from five cents to twenty dollars.
The third floor is a gaming and dining area, housing the casino's three restaurants: the MGM Grand Buffet, Neyla, and The Hollywood Brown Derby.
