Harrah's Council Bluffs
Situated in the heartland of the U.S., the historically rich city of Council Bluffs became known as the gateway to the American West. This southwest Iowa city borders the Missouri River and is home to three resort casinos, making it something of a tourist destination. Both this property and Bluffs Run were purchased by Harrah's Entertainment, Inc. in mid 2002. The two properties share some amenities.
Open 24 hours, every day, Harrah's Council Bluffs Riverboat Casino cruises once a day for 100 days of the year. There is no admission charge to the boat. Gaming includes over 1300 slot machines and 30 tables, featuring blackjack, poker, craps, and roulette.
Adjacent to the boat and connected by a covered walkway is a 251-room hotel. Located in the hotel is Mr. G's Show Lounge, as well as convention facilities that provide a venue for the live concerts that are periodically scheduled. The casino provides dinners with a choice of three restaurants.
