Grand Victoria Casino
In the early 1800's, the small southeastern Indiana community of Rising Sun was a steamboating centre. Today, it is home to the Grand Victoria Casino and Resort. The 300-acre resort and riverboat casino is located on the Ohio river. Just forty-five minutes west of Cincinnati, the casino is within easy driving distance of Indianapolis and Louisville.
Grand Victoria Casino provides over 1400 slot machines, and 43 table games. There are four pits of table games; the fourth level of the boat is a non-smoking slot area.
The 200-room hotel, which opened in July 1997, overlooks the Ohio River, as well as the Victorian Pavilion, a multi-purpose entertainment and meeting centre. Hotel facilities include a health club and indoor swimming pool.
The Pavilion is home to Wellington's Steak House, Riverview Buffet, a sports bar, and a snack bar. On a monthly basis, big name entertainers are booked into the Grand Theatre, which is also located in the Pavilion. The resort has The Links, an 18-hole golf course.
