Belterra Casino
Indiana's tenth and final riverboat casino, Belterra, opened to the public in October 2000. Located in a rural part of southeastern Indiana, the boat is in place on the the Ohio River, just 7 miles east of Vevay.
Belterra holds 3000 people. With the recent change in Indiana law, open boarding has become the policy; there is no admission charge to the casino. There are over 1400 slot machines on board, and 47 gaming tables that offer Craps, Roulette, Blackjack, 3-Card Poker, and more. Slots range from nickel to $100 machines. Two separate high-limit areas have been added.
Belterra's luxury pavilion houses one bar and four restaurants: the Fireside Steak House, Belterra Buffet, Rockwell Coffee House & Cafe, and the Aquarium. The Deli is located on-board the casino. A fifteen-storey on-site hotel has 308 guest rooms, spa facilities, and a hair dressing salon. The resort includes an 18-hole golf course and an adjacent restaurant.
