Thunder Bay Charity Casino
Situated on the north shore of Lake Superior, Thunder Bay's roots began with Fort William, an 1800's fur trading outpost. Geographically rich, this northern Ontario city has a rich history in fur trading, mining, and marine activities.
The Thunder Bay Charity Casino, which opened August 30, 2000, takes its design from the sea faring aspect of its past. With a glass waterfall, lighthouse beacon, and harbour location, the casino offers 14,000 square feet of gaming space.
The casino has 452 slots, ranging from nickel to five dollar machines, as well as fourteen gaming tables. Games include Blackjack, Caribbean Stud, Let it Ride, Roulette, and Spanish 21. There is also a poker room, with four tables that offer Texas Hold 'Em.
The on-site Rendezvous Bar and Restaurant seats seventy. It offers both deli and homestyle menu items.
