Casino Edmonton
Casino Edmonton is located on the south side of the city of Edmonton and is one of four Alberta casinos privately owned by Casino ABS.
Casino Edmonton opened in 1986 and was previously known as Casino ABS South. Casino ABS is owned by Heinz Oldach, who has been running charitable casinos in Alberta since 1973. Oldach began his business career as general manager of the carnival rides arm of Acme. When he was 28, Oldach and Acme colleague Harry Nash bought the carnival company, added new rides, and, in 1973, incorporated Alberta Bingo Supplies Ltd. (hence, the name ABS).
Casino Edmonton is over 60,000 square feet. The property features 23 table games and over 760 slot machines. There is also a poker room with thirteen tables. The property also has a piano bar, a dining room, and several lounges.
